This morning Dan Patrick poked fun at Tiger Woods for having a press conference this morning that there would be no press conference. Talk about inflated self-importance. How about a press conference about the press conference about the non press conference? The meta-press conference.
Patrick then brought up another absurd press conference that he recalled from Mike Piazza many years ago. It was a press conference in which Piazza announced his heterosexuality, presumably to defuse rumors to the contrary.
Are we to blame for these tedious exercises in self-aggrandizement?
