Those JVC boxes command often more money than the most legendary vintage Sony's and Pannys.

Old boomboxes are cool, and JVC was/is a good brand. But almost $1000? For that kind of dough, you could pick up one of those vintage West German Grundig Satellits that sound great and are built like tanks, AND have enough left over for a great home stereo.
