Wall warts instead of built-in power supplies. Especially wall warts that generate a lot of radio noise.

OK, here's one more: Why can't there be SOME commonality between small radios when it comes to programming/retrieving presets??

It seems they have all conspired to make this as difficult as possible. If I haven't used my (pick one) E-100, E-10, PL380, G6, 7600GR, YB400, RS-399 for a couple of months, I have to go back to the drawing board, so to speak, and re-learn how to program or retrieve the presets.

I find myself using my totally low-tech WRX911 more and more. I can let it sit for a year and pick it up and start listening.

Jeff, at some point we should look at what constitutes a flaw in ANY radio versus what is a flaw in a table radio, a pocket-size ultralight, a DXer, or a multi-band portable. The small buttons are somewhat excusable in a tiny radio. But on a machine with a 5x16 inch face plate? Dimmability/on/off lighting for a clock radio or portable, yes. But how necessary on a component set? Just a thought on standards/propriety.

What about the new Tecsun DR777 which I ordered? It has brillant FM reception, but ONLY when the headphone cord aka the antenna doesn't move. If it does, the volume goes to near-zero and then back up. Ehhhh... Isn't this supposed to be a *travel radio*? Try keeping the headphone cord stable while cycling...
