Yesterday I was embarrassed that I posted about the "faulty" memory system on my C.Crane SW-Radio when in fact I was actually pressing the WRONG button.
Enter Embarrassment #2: My wife opened the UPS package of our toddlers' toy piano (which I planeed on not opening until closer to Christmas) and what was in it? The C.Crane SW-Radio, that's what. My only defense is that the baby toy piano was a separate order.
In any event, I called Amazon, told them about my mistake. They graciously sent me postage for return shipping.
Jeff - Amazon often combines shipments from different orders.
Now the UPS guy is off the hook.

Thus explaining the demeanor of the UPS guy!
Oh well, these things happen. And Amazon has a habit of sending things piecemeal. Not to mention that you often can't tell what is what without opening the box because they all look about the same.

Amazon was very gracious about my error. When I don't open packages and wait for Christmas, I have to be careful. Another problem. Faulty electronics may be beyond the 30-day return policy. It's best to open and test immediately.

Lesson #1 obviously learned about the UPS
Lesson #2, don't review radios the day you get them
