Dave Zantow Provides Firmware Updates for Degen DE1127 and DE1126 Models

Here is some important info on Degen DE1127 and DE1126 firmware updates from Dave Zantow's web site.

DEGEN DE1127 : We have temporarily removed the Degen DE1127 review (from the bottom of the DE1125 page) and also my PDF DE1127 "owners manual" at this time. It has to do with MAJOR CHANGES in which "Firmware Updates" MUST be done. New Firmware V 0.1.8 has been released, HOWEVER you DO NOT (and cannot) do it the same way as with V0.1.6 and V0.1.7 updates were. No ENGLISH warnings were given in the file update either (Degen, how were we supposed to know this when the new instructions are only in CHINESE !!). We totally FRIED our DE1127 test sample as we did the V 0.1.8 "FIRMWARE UPGRADE" within the menu's (this is a big NO NO now). Firmware upgrades are now done within a seperate "Updater" program on the computer. We hope to restore the updated review and owners manual (with the added WARNINGS) by Jan 7th . By the way the ebay dealer where our DE1127 sample came from could care less (about par for the course with "evil bay"). Of course this change with the firmware changes also effects the DE1126 model as well !!

I found the Firmware update on the Degen site, but can't find the software used to install them now and don't wish to mess up my DE1127. Does anyone know where this updater can be downloaded?

Hi, could you please post update on this? I don't have access to above url (work pc), it would be nice to have update on this page as well.

I'm looking forward to buy this one, but should I? My primary goal is to be able to record programs, on AM band and use mp3 player (possibly playlists with descriptive labels!)

I don't know if anyone is still paying attention to this page, but I am wondering if anyone could tell me where I could download the latest firmware for the Degen DE1126? It is no longer on the Degen website, so I'm wondering if I can get it somewhere else. I've tried searching with Google but have had no luck... Thanks!

I just received an 1126 and it has this firmware: V0.1.1 dated 20121207. My friends unit that was purchased more then 2 years ago has V0.1.8 dated 20111216. Should I be concerned about this newer dated firmware with an older version number?
