A pilot watch, such as the Torgoen T10301, has a large dial, hardly any bezel to speak of, and large, luminescent numerals and markers. It's easy to wear on the wrist, light and comfortable. Its quartz movement is Swiss, the highest quality.
This Torgoen is the perfect execution, perhaps my purest, manly watch because it's completely absent of affect, gaudiness, and excess.
This is an austere watch, the perfect combination of form and function. In a dark room, the numbers and markers light up with brilliance, so a lot of attention was made to make this a true pilot watch.
With a 45mm bezel, this is my smallest watch but it plays big on the wrist with its open dial styling. While I have more busy, dramatic timepieces, I think an argument can be made that this is my most austere, pure, clean, spare manly watch, a true favorite and a keeper. If you're looking for similar styling at a less expensive price point, check out the Invicta Force 6441.
