A couple of years ago, Ed told me Fry's had a crazy sale on two remaining CCRadio-Plus radios, essentially the CCRadio-2 with TV band. He said they were $9. Did I want one? Sure.
It's been in the baby room until my wife Carrie said the baby dresser was too crowded. With my CCRadio-SW ruined from my stupid move of putting my cell phone charger in the radio's battery recharger, I decided to try the CCRadio-Plus on the piano.
While the speaker sound is not as refined as my Boston Acoustics radios, it does get loud. And while its FM is not as powerful as my CCRadio-SW's, it grabs all my stations.
Also, the CCRadio-Plus has excellent AM. Its dark color also complements the piano better than most of my radios.
It's always a relief to find a home for one of my radios that's been banned from the baby room.

Wow! looks retro and modern!

Jeff - Do you still have a CCRadio-2 as well?

Gary, the CCR-2 was a fine radio but I sold it simply to make room for more at that time. My impressions of it are the same as the CCR-Plus. Their performance in terms of AM/FM and speaker sound seems the same.

Nine dollars is just ridiculous.

This radio is sold in Europe as the Sangean PRD-3. Instead of the TV-band it has LW. It is especially advertised as having excellent reception on LW. However, I don't have one (yet?). My experience is that digital radios in combination with LW is not a good one. Besides, I'm not a fan of the appearance of this radio:).
