First off, I get a lot of compliments on this Invicta Subaqua Specialty 6903, mostly for its massive case, sometimes called jokingly as a "weapon." The lume on the indices is very bright. However, while wearing it this evening I noticed again there is no lume on the hour and minute hands. I noticed this when I first got it, but thought that light exposure would fix this. I was wrong.
Either this is by design (a very bad design) or quality control problems. Either way, I'm very disappointed have to demote my 6903 under the category "Fashion Watch."
Another nod to my reliable Seiko Black Monster, a true watch.

There is lume on the hands - and on the three chronograph hands as well - but it is just very faint. Hold the dial up next to a light bulb in a room at night and then turn it off and give your eyes a few seconds to adjust. You'll see the faint lines of the hands. I've noticed that if you don't hold it up to a light before turning off the light, only the indicators will hold enough to illuminate.
Obviously it would be nice if it was brighter but it is something, at least.

I was walking in sunlight to and from my office. That should have been enough. This is no problem with my Sea Hunter, Black Monster, or Lum-Tec.
