I rather have a bunch of average IQ people working for me then a bunch of Mensa IQ people working for me.

Personally, I am experiencing the same thing having a one year old and a four year old around the house. My guess is that we're lacking the time (and peace/quiet) to get the sleep that we need. Furthermore, there's less time available for that all-important "me time" that all guys need. You know, the time of the day when you decompress, relax and do something that you enjoy.
When there are little ones running about, there's precious little time for any of it. And, there's an ever-increasing number of chores to do as well. So parents tend to be overly stressed, overtired, and overworked. Is it any wonder that we feel dumb?

Just wait guys----your IQ will go up again when they start school. My son started first grade last year----and by helping with him with his homework, I'm getting smarter. He's still way better than I am at following LEGO instructions and/or building the LEGO sets, but I'm catching up on that too.
