It sounds like this CPB "affirmative action" didn't serve the listeners well at all.

This has to be the biggest KPCC fiasco since I started listening in 1996.

Sorry Jeff, I know you liked her show. I hope she turns up somewhere else in your market or streaming online.

She cultivated a great show and it sounds like KPCC got greedy and imposed a show on her that wasn't hers. I'm very disappointed with what appears to be KPCC's money grab.

I've never heard of her, but I couldn't get through this article without getting angry. "Conditional" grants should really make people reconsider their disdain for "whoring for advertisers." What a silly move this was to force her to work with an amateur---but it seems as though it was actually forced on them. It's a shame for people who enjoyed her work.
