Just a plain old no tap coil.
Ya, know...with a very simple mod you could connect a Select-A-Tenna, Terk AM Advantage, Grundig AN200/Kaito/Tecson AN-200, ect..directly to it and have yourself a hot little AM/MW DX rig for cheap.

Actually I have a spare GE Superadio coil stick that could be used too.
At $15 and with such a simple 2 lead coil this one's begging to be Frankensteined.
Bigger coil, bigger cabinet with a bigger better speaker...perhaps a small audio amp.
I'm going to pick one of these up just to experiment with. For that price it's hard to resist. I can probably build something really good with it.
Even if the single chip r.f. circuit confuses me to no end. 8/
