Angelo

I'm very concerned about these austerity measures and how they will impact my Herculodge addiction! I need to have a mental picture of someone with out of control watch and radio collections. I'm not there yet----well, at least not with watches.

I hear you, Angelo. Seeing Jeff go through this is sort of like a heroin junky seeing the buddy that got them addicted go clean ;). I'm tempted to say, "Come on, come back to us - just one more hit!"

Jeff, that 6147 Ocean Reef is tempting. I love the blue dial and have wanted an all-metal variation. I should really hold off, though, and save my cash for Seikos.

I coveted the blue and red dial for a long time, finally got them and never wore them. Experience has taught me things about wanting.

jonnybardo

Yeah, I hear that.

By the way, a few days later and I just love the SNAD06 and really like the SNAD33P1, although don't absolutely love it. It is a good everyday watch - very sporty with the blue dial, gear-like bezel, and snazzy bracelet, but it isn't one of my very favorites. The quality feels very good but not as good as the SNAD05/06, which are both among my very favorites.

I posted some pictures on my blog a couple days ago - check them out.

I'm torn between the snad05 and the snab67, very similar models. I also like the snab69 but would like to see these in person before I pull the trigger.

It seems the SNAB67 is a bit bigger than the SNAD05, and it also has solid silver or white chronographs - depends if you like the look.

If you're considering collecting a bunch of Seikos, you could get the SNAD05 and the SNAB69 (which I really like) - then you'd have one of each model but with very different looks due to color.

Good point, but another consideration is that the snab67 looks easier for me to read. My vision, making me buy more powerful reading glasses every year, is a big deal in watch buying.

You might also like the SSC015, which has a bold, distinctive look to the dial. Plus it is solar powered. It is definitely on my wishlist.

Here's a good picture:

I've seen the SSC015 for a while and even wish-listed it a while back. What I like is its Rolex look at an affordable price with solar and good build quality.
