Two Seikos that have piqued my tastes are the military style SNAB67P1 and SNAB69P1, my poor man's answer to Breitling. Both watches are 44mm across the bezel and 51mm in total case size. They may get me out of my funk after my Invicta Reserve Subaqua Specialty in combat black died right after the Amazon warranty ended. I could send to Invicta, but by the time I get it back, it will be the 2016 Presidential Election. Why bother.
Yeah, those two are on my radar - I think I posted one on my blog at some point.
For military style, check out the SNAD37 as well, or the Pulsar PF3701x1.

Is your SNAD05 the same dimensions? I notice it's a similar military style.

I'm not sure what qualifies a watch as "military style" - when I think of that I think of all-black combat style, which is what I was referring to above.
As for the SNAD05, the bezel is 44mm - not sure what the case size. But it is a perfect size - it is a bit smaller than the Ocean Reef (which is 46mm across the bezel, I believe), but because the bracelet is less prominent it feels about that size. It is also thinner although not too thin. Highly recommended.
I bought the bullet and ordered the SNAD33P1 last night (silver bracelet, blue dial). It was through Amazon Prime and should arrive tomorrow - I'll try to post pictures then or on the weekend. Hard to beat for $140.
(the Black Monster is still at the top of the queue, but I was thinking of making it my birthday present to myself in a couple weeks; the SNAD33P1 was bought with a portion of sold-watch-money - I've probably sold back about $1000 worth of watches over the last month).

The SNAD05 sounds like the same size as the others then. We'll have to see pics of your SNAD33P1. On another note, I can get a partial refund for the dead SAS. Turns out I bought it January 2012.

If you gave the dead Invicta to your go-to jeweler, I see good karma coming your way with future visits there. Consider it an investment----and if it's true that Invicta takes too long with repairs, all the more reason to cut losses. As I recall----I think you mentioned that Nixon Watch service was slow as well. That might be an industry issue----they'd rather wear customers down and sell more watches instead of acting quickly to service and return watches that have already been purchased.

This Invicta Speedway normally sells on Fraction Price for around $120.00. If you're lucky----and it "doesn't always happen"----you will get an offer to buy this watch (if you activate a code within an hour) for around $77.00. I think it's a great deal at that price.

Nixon turnover is 2 weeks, far better than Invicta's 6 plus months. Both brands are low quality in general.
