This Amazon reviewer likes his new second generation Seiko Monster SRP311, but he writes his first generation Monsters have better lume. That is disappointing. The lume is a huge part of this watch's appeal.

It's astonishing to me that on a relatively expensive watch---they don't just use the top of the line lume every time. Why show any vulnerability on this issue?
