Now THIS view, I can get behind. Yes, if the watchmaker bothers to add lume, especially on watches costing over a hundred bucks, the lume should work well. Putting "lume" on a watch that is inferior/dim----is like putting a spoiler on a car that is cosmetic only. I want function. I want it to work. I'm not fond of cosmetic spoilers and air vents. If you're going to put air vents on the hood of a car, I want those vents to actually get air to the engine. If they're for "show" I can do without them (Are you listening Subaru?). If you're going to bother to put lume on a watch, I don't want some pale looking crap. I want to turn the lights out and see what time it is.

There are borderline cases like the Invicta Ocean Speedway 0762 which looks like it isn't supposed to have lume but actually has a very faint amount, which makes you wonder why they bothered at all.

My Ocean Reefs, which have great lume on the minute and second hands, have horrible or non-existent lume on the numerals and indices. Too bad since this is called an "Ocean Reef." Nice looking watch though.

That's pretty much the same case with the Capsule, if I remember correctly.
The Venom II has a great lume set-up, but the lume itself is mediocre - not terrible, but not good.

Mediocre lume on my SAS and worse on my Russian Divers. Costume jewelry.

Once I get the Black Monster I'll be able to give you a comparison with the SNAD05, SSC015, and SKA425 lume - I'll try to take a picture.

The Monster will be number one in lume. It's that good.

Yeah, I know - I just want to see to what degree, and maybe that will be helpful for you seeing it side by side with the three other Seikos.
