So far I'm pleased with my Sangean WR-5's performance in terms of speaker sound, FM/AM reception, and iPod play.
However, the controls for time, date, and day of the week are another matter.
I adjusted the time after 3 tries.
But I've still failed on date and day of the week. If I figure it out, I'll let you know.

Jeff: You've mentioned Jim Rome. He is one of the personalities hired by CBS to host shows on their new "CBS Sports Radio Network" which debuts January 2. Sounds like they have a pretty good line-up, including John Feinstein.

Yeah, if the controls were better and it had an external FM antenna option it would be perfect. I recommend letting RDS set the time, that way you don't have to worry about DTS.

Er, DST I mean.

I also got the WR-5 when it was on the crazy $64 sale on Amazon last week. Love it so far but am also experiencing the weird date set problem. Whenever I try to set it to January 2013, it works but then a few hours later, it reverts to October 2012. Really frustrating. I don't know if the software is bad or it's just my unit and yours. (some Amazon reviewers also have noted the problem). Maybe I'll ask Amazon to send a replacement unit to see if the problem occurs on that one as well. By the way, I set the clock/date manually, rather than use the RDS CT method-- maybe I should try that instead?
