I'm adopting Sherry Turkle's Alone Together for my critical thinking class and one of her criticisms is of "Always On Culture" (you have to be on Twitter, Facebook and your blog to be relevant and active) is that we are anxious that if we take a vacation and go off the grid, we will return irrelevant and forgotten. This causes too much existential panic so that we never enjoy any vacation or real solitude. What a psychosis.
