Yes, I think Gary is correct, the DT-200V came first. Mine, which I purchased so long ago I don't remember when (1997?), I listen to nightly, and have done so for roughly fifteen years. I have never had a lick of trouble with the 200V. I bought a DT-400W as a rainy day replacement. Indeed it will be a sad day when my 200V bites the dust, but so far it shows no sign of dying. I also had the more expensive, smaller, one cell 300 model, but it wasn't as good on AM and sounded tinny in comparison.

OK now Im totally confused.
Is the one selling for $20.00 the one with just AM and FM?

Well I had a $25.00 Amazon gift card from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket. Problem solved.

Michael - Yes, the DT-200X has just AM and FM (FM stereo through headphones). It's selling today on Amazon for under $20. The earlier DT-200VX also had the analog TV band, which is mostly unused now since the migration to digital TV.

DT-200X is now selling at Amazon for $38.90

Stan

So much for that deal!
Now it's up to 38.90 on Amazon.

All "CC" radios distributed by C. Crane are garbage!! I don't think I've ever had one good radio that was distributed by C. Crane. They're all pieces of junk!! I bought a CC Pocket Radio from C. Crane and it's absolutely no comparison to any of the Sangean "DT" models. Stick with Sangean. You'll be happy you did!!
