Thanks, Steve, for the heads up:
Not sure if you are aware of this or not, but Bob at Sangean America edited his comment under your Amazon WR-12 review on Jan. 21'st. He said the following:
Hello all. This is Bob from Sangean America Inc.
I'm happy to inform you that we are now shipping the new and improved WR-12.
It now passes Sangean's stringent quality control. The FM tuning and audio problem found in earlier WR-12's has been corrected.
If you would like to swap your original unit with the new WR-12, you may return it to Amazon.com, or contact us. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and many thanks to our loyal customers.
I'd love to get a WR-12, but I'm waiting for a review from someone I can trust before I buy one.
Regards.
Steve
Herculodge adds:
I'd be curious to try one, but that's unlikely since I recently picked up a Sangean WR-5. Also, how do I know I'm getting the new version? I'm too snake-bit to try again . . . at least for now.
Was there anywhere to go but up? Based on the reviews I've read here...they could have outsourced the work to Coby and sold it at CVS for $19.99 and we'd have all been better off.

Bob @ Sangean informed me that they have shipped new units to Amazon and J&R. I just ordered one directly from Amazon as before Amazon was not selling this product and now it is a few days after Bob announced the return. I hope its a home run! I can't wait to try this radio.
