If Amazon and others are really selling a new version of the Sangean WR-12 (Amazon has cut its price to $135), no one has yet talked about it. There are still the 4 reviews on Amazon, all agreeing that the first version is horrible.
Any experiences out there with the supposed new version?
I wasn't planning on one anyway, but I don't see how you recover from such a bad start. For about a year anyone who knows is going to wonder if they're getting the old one or the new one. Sangean would have been better advised to change the model number, maybe to WR-12A, to make that clear.

I think I'm going to pick up the bluetooh version from Amazon, it seems like they have a fresh stock. I never had one of the inital WR-12's, but I have a WR-2 and a WR-5 I can compare it to. If I like the WR-12BT I'm going to sell the WR-2 to a guy who's been eyeing mine at work.

Nathan, please give us your impressions of your WR-12BT.

Bill is right. Talk about digging yourself into a deep hole. Sangean should have never let this happen.

There is finally a positive review on Amazon. I'd like to think the reviewer has one of the "corrected" radios Sangean claims to be selling now and that the review reflects those improvements/corrections, but unfortunately there's no way to tell from the review.
