Not only is it inconvenient, but repeatedly plugging the cable into the jack can cause the jack to wear out. The CCRadio-EP has this same flaw. The PR-D5 has a better setup, with an Aux mode selectable from the front panel.

That was the main reason I went for a WR-2 instead: you can leave the AUX cable in.

I wholeheartedly agree about the lack of an aux switch. A significant flaw in an otherwise terrific table radio. I still like my WR1 and WR11, but it would've been too easy to add an aux position to the band selector switch.

If I had just a bit more practice with the iron it probably would be too difficult to bypass the built in SPDT switches in the jack and create a manual selector Just seems like a lot of work for something that could have easily been included.
