Stop bitching about the radio being 220V and go to your nearest Radio Shack and for about 25 Dls buy a 110/12 v 1A Transformer with tap plus an Iron solder and some tin solder to correct this issue once and for all.

This radio first showed up 6 years ago but was never mass produced. Kind of surprised that CCrane hasn't picked up on this, maybe there just isn't a market for it these days with shortwave broadcasting stations going down by the month. Speaking of CCrane, they haven't come out with much of anything for quite a while now. No volume control is a bad omission, if you are going to have a remote, you need a volume control.

How doors one in America order one unit and what is the price per radio in USD?

Want!

It's been quite some time since there was a good sized portable shortwave rig available (that ya didn't have to remortgage the house to get) with a b.f.o. circuit.
I've been aching to replace the trusty old DX-440 with a new toy, and this one looks like it'll fit the bill quite nicely.

As of right now Amazon is selling the Eton / Grundig G3 for $58.29.

Probably worth it at that price.

Of modern Grundig models, I will give the G3 a generally passing grade for shortwave performance in the portable class. Just be prepared to open the radio if/when the sync circuit goes out of tune. A quick adjustment to C113 usually resolves the issue easily enough. I do not care much about the other supported bands, so YMMV.

Not to fan the flames of RP3100 lust, but there is an ad today on tecsunradio.com announcing the arrival of the long-awaited successor to the the RP2100. the adverstised version has SSB and keypad entry, 240v power supply, and Chinese characters on the body of the radio, but not the keys. No AM sync, as expected:

Also, a store called Orange electronics at aliexpress.com is taking pre-orders for the RP-3100, should you desire to gamble away $180 bucks:

If anyone gets one, all of us out here in radio-hobby land would surely love to hear about it.
