Reading generally positive Amazon reviews of the new worksite radio, the Sangean TB-100, one will find a common complaint: The sound is so bass-heavy that it gets really muffled at high volumes. This is a widespread problem throughout Sangean radios with some exceptions being the WR-2 and WR-11.
But it strikes me as curious that Sangean hasn't tweaked their many radios' speakers that have this problem from the PR-D5 and all of their worksite radios and many others.
It seems that the TB-100 has the same bass-heavy sound as the LB-100. If Sangean would simply add full-range bass and treble controls to their bass-heavy radios that lack them, this would go a long way toward correcting the problem.
The WR-2, for example, has very effective bass and treble controls.
I guess as long as they keep selling enough units, notwithstanding their flaws, Sangean is happy.

You could add the Sangean WR-3 (unfortunately discontinued) to the list of Sangean radios with full spectrum, agreeable, sound.
