My favorite watch is the Orient M-Force First Generation. I'd like it even more if I could swap its cheap bracelet with 316L grade steel. But the $78 Super Engineer Type II Amazon sells, as nice it looks, is said by an Amazon reviewer to have end links wider than 23mm, which require sanding and an application of WD-40. I find that off-putting to say the least. Any other recommendations?
The Super Engineer sells on eBay from Hong Kong and is described as 316L grade.
You should definitely upgrade. I think that style would look great with the M-Force.
Speaking of which, I decided to back down purchasing the M-Force. I probably will eventually but , A) it might be a bit too similar to the Revolver and B) partially because of that I am not sure how much wrist time it would get with my focus on the Saturation Diver and Revolvers.
On a more psychological level, I'm trying to pull back on the "more, more, more" endless cycle...because it really is endless. This has been driven home even more after getting my Saturation Diver, by far the nicest watch I own, and STILL wanting more. I'll be buying more watches soon enough I just need to...pause and breathe.

Plus I think the next watch I'll get will be either a Tuna or a micro diver like the Armida. But we'll see.

I agree the M Force and Revolver are too similar and the latter watch has a better bracelet.

Also, I'd love to get the bracelet featured on Amazon but I'm concerned about the fit after reading that review.

On a side note, this isn't technically the first generation M-Force. I think there's been an M-Force line going back to at least the 90s, but this was more of a revival - so you could say it is the first new generation for some years at least.

Strap code sells the bracelet via Amazon. I just emailed them and asked if I could return in the event the bracelet doesn't fit.

Jeff, this should wet your appetite (or is it whet?):

You might also want to look at any remaining Invictas, see if their bracelet would fit. Invictas sometimes have nice, solid bracelets.

Jonny, I took a chance and bought the upgrade after calling Watch City. They agreed they'd do it. We didn't mention price but I'm sure it will be reasonable. If the lug width is slightly too wide as the Amazon customer said it is the people at Watch City have a buffer to get it down to size. I got free shipping for some odd reason.

Good to hear. I bet it will look awesome and look forward to seeing it.

Seiko Tunas are always tempting. I notice the seller doesn't provide price.
