It depends on the exact status - you say "arrived" - does it say "delivered" and does it say where the package specifically was left?

If you have strong enough proof of delivery then you can pretty easily defeat a buyer's package did not arrive claim if they file one with ebay. For now all you can do is wait to see if the buyer files a claim.

the tracking says "delivered." Paul, I read that. The buyer I notice has 94% approval, not sterling in the world of eBay. Also, I've emailed him since he asked me where his package is and I haven't heard from him. Part of me wonders if he was testing me to see if I had tracking and since I do he can't pretend he didn't receive it. Or there are other scenarios. Bottom line is this situation stresses me out and makes me not want to sell on eBay.

Occupational hazard, Jeff. You should be fine. I bet you're right - that he was testing you and will say "Oh, it arrived."

sometimes people get impatient and send you email on the very same day they were supposed to receive the package.

Always use UPS with Signature Required option on expensive items. Then UPS can produce an actual picture of the signature, if required.

I have set a box aside when I had a day or two of multiple deliveries and forgotten it had arrived. Happens.

You only need a signature if the item's value was over $250. If it was less than $250 and you have delivery confirmation (UPS "delivered" as far as I know is sufficient), then ebay's seller protection policy applies and you will win any claim the buyer may file. If its over $250 and you didn't get a signature on delivery, you might be out of luck.

Then it looks like I'm safe, Brandon. Thanks.

The USPS can also produce a signature image later when you use their Signature Required option.
