I can't tell if this Sony M260 portable radio with 15 presets (10 FM,5 AM) is old new stock or new new stock. You know what I mean. My guess is it's a middling performer.
Amazon reviews say some radios are non-USA version despite contrary description. One review in particular says the reception is average, as I guessed.
Based on everything I've seen, I'd guess this is new old stock. According to radiomuseum, it is a 1995 model.

I had this radio some 8-9 years ago. It died because I broke it. It had very good FM and AM reception, great speaker sound, and amazing battery life. I really loved it. It was true Sony radio!

The M260 is a classic design, and eventually became the now-legendary Liv "clutch" radio, which sells for more than it did before it was discontinued. A great choice for listening to your stronger local stations, and especially for gifting to non-radio folk who can appreciate the straightforward interface.

Huesby: That one is too rich for my blood. I noticed in the description that it was made from 1982 to 1982. Must be rare. Here is a new Panasonic shortwave that is much more affordable!

And to prove what a great deal that is, here is the same radio, selling at a much higher price.

Unfortunately my version is for another country. The AM band only goes to 1610khz. It should go to 1710khZ in the US. The time for my radio is in military time only. Buyers must specify a radio for the US. Sound quality is good and the presets are great. I'll keep mine. I'm very happy with it. It takes 2 AA batteries.
