Wife and son saw WWZ Saturday while I was doing a pet adoption fair. He said it was "disturbing" but as usual no more. She was rather quiet about it, but swarms ick her out, and I figured that was it from the previews. Plan to see it next myself. We saw The Heat with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy today. It was vulgar fun, with Bullock surprising but convincing as her language changes. It is way beyond Bridesmaids on language, but not on gross-out factor. If you feel like a low-brow laugh fest, it is your movie. Have you read any Charles Stross science fiction? It is very tech-oriented, with social implications of technology being in the forefront. Glasshouse was the most recent one I read.

I will check out the Glasshouse and see if it piques my interest. I've never read sci-fi before.

If you have not read Asimov's Foundation trilogy, that is seminal work.
