I've had 4 rubber strap first generation Venoms and sold them all because they pinched my wrist. I ended up selling them all and then gave a try on the gray 1406. It's a bit more comfortable than my previous Venoms and I think I know why: The strap seems softer. Maybe Invicta changed it after getting several pinched-wrist complaints. The watch is over the top and extremely thick, causing it to flop around a bit on the wrist, so I don't plan on wearing this all day. It's more for a night out on the town.

Looks good. You know it might just be that you (and I) will always be rotating watches. There might be a few classics that we hold onto long-term, but tastes and collections change over time.
I'm wearing my Sumo today and while I really like it I've never fallen in love with it, not like the Orients at least or any of my past favorites du jour.

I like, but don't love, my Sumo. It's my "Rolex." It's too tight now as I've gained weight. Maybe time to add a link.
I rotate for all sorts of reasons. Invicta gives me wow when I can't buy $4,000 Brietling wow.
