At 46mm across the bezel, the Casio MTD-1060 looks like an excellent diver for the budget-minded. The image above is another Casio Diver. But the MTD series looks good in all its variations and they're all under $60.

Casio makes a respectable watch at all price points. Even their low end watches have a quality control that doesn't exist on no-name cheapies. That said----I do like the styling of the Shark series of sport watches (found on E-Bay). Detail for detail, the Casios are better----but you can get great styling on the Sharks---often for under $25.00. If you're just looking for a fun beater, check out Shark. If you want a lower priced watch that's a keeper, Casio costs a little more but probably gives you a little more too.

Yeah, Casio and Pulsar are the go-to brands for under $100, maybe Timex as well. I don't think Seiko makes many, even any, in that range - although Pulsar is owned by Seiko, if I remember correctly.

Here's an example of an $85 Pulsar that's pretty nice:
http://www.amazon.com/Pulsar-PF3293-Alarm-Chronograph-Watch/dp/B0009WXTT8
At 40.5mm bezel, its way too small for Jeff and a bit smaller than I prefer, but for most its fine.
For something a bit bigger - 44mm - and only $70, check this one out:
http://www.amazon.com/Pulsar-Large-Stainless-Casual-PG8143/dp/B002DFU3VG
Its got the same kind of "flared" bracelet as the Pulsar I own and wears bigger than a 44mm. At $70 you can't go wrong.
Pulsar was my go-to brand for years before I got seriously into watches. The watch I wore from 2007 to 2011 was a Pulsar, and I still have it and its still ticking away.

Jonny: And for even less money on the Seiko tree, you can get Lorus watches. And again, the quality is very decent for the price. Some of the styles are nice too and Lorus, as a brand, doesn't have any baggage (i.e. they've been pretty steady over the years).

Right. I think Alba might be in the Seiko family as well - comparable to Pulsar, I believe.
