Personally, I don't like the look of the tritium tubes in daylight, especially the cylindrical ones as shown on the hands and 12/6 hour markers in your pictures above. I prefer the look of standard lume paint. Do the glued on tritium tubes ever fall off due to shock?

Here's a watch that uses cylindrical tritium tubes for all of the hands and markers. I just don't like the look.

My answer is both - its nice to have diversity.

As for the life of tritium, I kind of doubt I'll be wearing any of the same watches 10 years from now, except maybe two or three, let alone 20 years.

Tritium tubes can be replaced, although it might not be worth the cost of repair if you factor in the cost of a replacement Invicta. After the radiation dies away, the phosphor part should still behave like regular lume that charges with light, so it will remain usable. Depends on what class of tube they used in that watch though; not all tritium tubing is made equal.
