There's something about a strong fan that produces wind gusts that are very assuring to a man who's trying to stay cool whether he be reading Flaubert or doing kettlebell workouts. I don't know of a fan with a higher reputation than the Air King. I have its lower version, the Lasko, made by the same company. But from what I hear, the Air King is their "Cadillac."
I'm happy with my compact but very powerful Vornado fan. My wife bought it. It's black----but small enough to fit on a table or dresser. But if it's a large floor fan you must have, like the one shown here----there's an amazing sale going on now at Rite Aid and they do have some fans left. Summer items----75% off. So for around fifteen dollars, you can get a big, powerful fan that looks like this one----might even be the Lasko.

Love fans. Real men don't need air conditioning!

I love them too. I just bought the 65 dollar Lasko (20 inch) on Amazon for our living room. I prefer to keep the AC OFF.

Real men don't need air conditioning, unless you live in Phoenix, Arizona

"Real men don't need air conditioning, unless you live in Phoenix, Arizona"
...or Houston, Texas.

Oh---by the way, big correction: Rite Aid's 75% Off Summer Clearance DID NOT include the Lasko fans. It included cheaper "fashion" fans, but not the Laskos. Those were 25% off and have now been put away until next Summer, when they'll sell at regular price (at least at the Rite Aid I was in). And by the way, I'm serious about the "fashion fans." They are a Rite Aid house brand----and have leopard prints, stripes, etc. on them. They are small desktop fans----maybe for dorm rooms. Fashion fans. It's not just the watches Jeff, it's not just the watches.
