Angelo has apprised us of an apex performer pen, the Zebra F-301.
Seems like a less expensive hobby than manly watches.

Zebra's F-301 is an all-star. It's been around at least since the mid-80s. I got one when I was in college that I still have. I recently got an F-402 that is a couple dollars more expensive than the F-301. I'm a big fan of Zebra because I prefer ballpoint ink over liquid ink. For liquid ink---I still like the Uniball. But Jeff----pens can be a very expensive hobby. There are fountain pens that are quite pricey.

I actually prefer the 301 to the 402, it feels sleeker and more stylish to me. The pens themselves are pretty indestructible except for the plastic shirt clip, which seems to break easily, leaving the pen with just the exposed thin metal backing for the clip. Can't really keep it in a shirt pocket that way, so I use those as desk pens.
