I've got to say, just for the rarity in general----the green dial version is really strong.

Nice. I like them all, although not enough to drop $850 on.

Jeff, you might like this Irreantum Magellan. Its one of the more unique looking micro-drivers. The seller is asking for $445, which is a good price for an ETA 2824 watch:

I love the case, am mixed on the bracelet. It might look better on a strap.

I saw the Magellen on Watch Recon yesterday. I love it except for the bracelet. Weird. I think the Depthmaster is 300 dollar overpriced.

I agree on the Depthmaster. The Abyss is probably similar. I paid $535 for it (incl. partial refund and repair), which seems about right for that level of watch.

Deep Blue prices have gone up over the last 2 years. I assume people are buying them at higher prices evidenced by the high used prices they command on eBay.

They've transitioned from being a micro-brand to a mid-size company, at least as far as I can tell. With that comes an increase in price. Once a brand gets a name, they can increase their prices.

I like this one. Over 1K is a lot for me to splurge on a watch. And there might be other choices for me---but this would be a consideration if I were to spend that much money.
