I've been listening to the Luke Burbank podcast TBTL, co-hosted by KIRO radio host Andrew Walsh for a few years now. On a recent podcast it was announced that Walsh is leaving KIRO and Seattle to move to LA to produce a public radio show. That leaves KPCC and KCRW. And as LA Observed has noted, KCRW's Madeleine Brand is looking for a producer. Add to that Luke Burbank is friends with Brand evidenced by his Awesome-Not Awesome slot in Brand's former KPCC show.

KCRW in Southern California is seeking an energetic, motivated producer to help launch and produce a new current affairs show. Applicants must have a passion for innovative, fresh approaches to broadcasting, as well as a solid handle on local and national issues.
Applicants will be expected to:
• Generate fresh story ideas
• Research topics and prepare host for live interviews
• Perform well under deadline pressure
• Seek out and interview potential radio guests
• Identify and produce in-depth feature stories
• Help maintain a vigorous social media presence
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, organizational and communication skills
At least 4 years of news/talk radio production or related experience is required. In-depth knowledge of issues regarding Southern California is desired.
