I'm glad my Panasonic RF-888 didn't sell. This morning during my kettlebell workout, I turned on my CCR-SW to 710 AM and couldn't get a clear signal. I turned on my RF-888 using the D batteries and reception is perfect. Huge speaker sound. Welcome home.

A storm came through overnight. Thunderstorms, tornado warnings, high winds and rapidly falling temperatures.
Here the worst of us missed it. There were no local casualties and little or no property damage. My thoughts go out to those who weren't so lucky.
But out in The Sticks at the end of the power lines power failures are inevitable when the wind goes high like that. Sure enough, we lost our electricity.
A good radio to the rescue indeed! Offering information, reassurance, and information, it's not the least item in my storm kit.

I really preffer the old technology. It's more reliable than this fancy one.
