At the risk of sounding brainwashed by Invicta----over $200.00 is still a lot of money for many of us when it comes to buying a watch. With only a few exceptions, I've never spent that much on a watch. So being near the top end of what I'd pay, this watch "doesn't do enough" for me in the styling department. It looks fine---just doesn't stand out enough to warrant the expense.

Invicta can't compete with Deep Blue because Invicta's tritnite (disdained even by Invicta fanboys) is inferior to Deep Blue's professional grade Superluminova, which I can vouch for since it's on my Deep Blue Depthmaster.
The only lume watches by Invicta have tritium gas.

$234 is a great price for that watch.

It's not really a matter of comparing Invicta to Deep Blue----but just an impression that unless this watch looks better in person/doesn't photograph well, (for me) it needs a touch of Invicta "adrenaline" to stir a little excitement. It's weird----because I see Seiko or Orient divers models that are equally plain or for a positive spin, "uncluttered"----but they just appear to be more substantial/better finished than this, at least as it's depicted in the photo. I actually like the watch, but it just doesn't LOOK LIKE it's price in my opinion. Maybe the buyer is paying for superior lume and movement.

That's an interesting point, Angelo. Deep Blue seems to be in a middle zone between the blingish "adrenaline" of Invicta and the more classic looks of Seiko and Orient. Maybe that's why this Deep Blue, and many other Deep Blues, don't appeal to me.
Don't get me wrong - I like the watch and think its worth the money they're asking, even a good deal. But it is too tame without being classy.
