Thanks, Pablo:
The long awaited, new flagship from Tecsun is out...at least, we can see it on youtube, with two videos released.

As I was able to read on chinese blogs, the Tecsun PL880 will be available on stores on Nov 8.
Price is also an intrigue, some chinese radio guys think in a pricey radio, in the USD 150-200 range.
A few comments:
Sound. It had been claimed that the sound would be much better but the videos don't really demonstrate the sound (we would presumably have to try it on FM for that) so we can't really tell.
Handle/Stand. It seems there is still no decent handle to carry it around, just the cheap carrying strap, and I did not see evidence of a structurally sound flip out stand. Although I am mostly pleased with my PL-660 these two points are both deficiencies in it which as far as I can tell have not been addressed.

According to a Google translation of the Japanese site http://bestkakaku.com/pl-880.html, 880's are expected to be available in January at a price of Y25800 (about $260). For comparison, their price for the RP2100 is Y9980, about $100. They also list sync detection in the features for the 880, but that must be an error.

It is on Amazon for $149.99 with some specs and photos. I noticed separate knobs for tuning and fine tuning,it uses an included Li-ion 18650 battery, recharges from a small USB jack, and the spec for the speaker is 40mm which I certainly hope is a typo. I don't see ETM which I would have liked. I do see a switch marked FM ST. or AM BW, and separate buttons for USB/norm and LSB/norm. It has a carry strap anchored in one top corner. ANT in jack labeled SW with no mention of AM/MW or FM.
