With very modest starting bids, 3 of my vintages sold. Three didn't: Panasonic RF-888; Panasonic RF-877; Sony ICF-5500. All are excellent. I'm glad they didn't sell.

I'm glad the 888 didn't sell. Seriously, you didn't want to do that. Here is a case of "not scarce, but legendary." There are still quite a few '63 split window Corvettes around and '57 Chevys. But people still love them!

Shame on me. I was trying to bid on the big Panny and never noticed you had others for sale! I would have bid on the Sony otherwise. Glad to hear you kept the 888 - I used mine to get a co-worker into older radios when he complained to me about not being able to get ball games when fishing up north in Michigan. We managed to procure a beat-up but functional 888 from Ebay and he absolutely loves it!

I have three 888's and an 877. Whenever the Bears games aren't on our local TV channel (I refuse to pay for cable) I put the radios all through the house and my wife and I listen to the game. Sounds great! I'll never sell these radios.
