I gave myself the gift of another Aeromatic watch----the A1327. I was considering the "understated" A1328, which is silver and white on black (no orange/warm red) and has three protective crowns instead of four---and it's a chrono----but based on going for the gusto of a fourth protective crown and also saving almost $100.00 over the A1328, I settled on the 1327.
It's about 47MM (not including the crowns) and compared with other Aeromatic/Tauchmeister watches, it's medium thickness. I left the protective plastic on the crystal to try to cut down glare when I took the photo.
It has the usual very nice quality thick leather band I'm used to from these brands. The crowns operate an alarm (to set the alarm time and also a separate crown for alarm on/off), time, date, city ring, and military time ring.
I stumbled into Tauchmeister/Aeromatic about 3 years ago----and love these watches for their style, durability and accuracy. I have a number of them and haven't wanted to sell any. They sell new for around $100.00 up to the mid $200s----and I think you get a lot of value for the dollars spent. If you like the aviation/submariner styling, you won't be disappointed in the quality you get for the moderate price.
