One suggestion based on what I have seen in animal shelter: Read the bag's recommendations for your dog and feed at the amount for the desired weight, not the present weight. Higher quality food means smaller serving amounts, usually. Deduct for the cooked chicken, too. Use an actual measuring cup of the exact size for the amount of food recommended. We all tend to overfeed out of "kindness" and "sympathy" and "generosity" even when an animal is overweight. She is a beautiful dog.

Have you had her to the vet? Get a professional opinion over what some food co. employee says-who knows their qualifications?

I relate...I did full time nursing care for our Lucy until her quality of life was no good. Tough stuff and a tank trainload of tears.

Please... keep us posted!
