I'm six feet, 225 pounds, and the L.L.Bean XXL flannel shirt is slightly too big, too long in the tail and sleeves (which I roll up to show my watch of course). I'm not returning it because it fits well enough but future L.L. Bean flannel shirts will be XL for me.
Clarification:
My XXL has been through a wash and dry cycle and is still slightly too big.

You should report back after a few wash and dry cycles----sometimes flannel shrinks a bit as it ages. I wouldn't have figured you for an XXL though---you seem like a chiseled XL !!!

Angelo is correct, however, LL Bean claims very little shrinkage in their clothes sold if you follow the washing instructions.
As a general rule, most of us need to have our clothes altered when buying off the rack and want to look good too.

I wore a lot of LL Bean flannel shirts throughout college in Seattle...I know that was 30 years ago, but they lasted a long time. Although I preferred the Eddie Bauer jackets

Eddie Bauer Winter coats are the best for the money----some really good lower priced options are available at Burlington Coat Factory but for the moderate/mid priced name brands, Bauer rules.
