The shell/cabinet looks a lot like my Tangent internet radios! I have the red lacquer in my bedroom and also the walnut in my living room.

Looks to me like it's a bit of a step toward talking the "radio" out of a clock radio. It has a tuner. but it
s also Bluetooth, cell phone link up program, and USB connection. How many people that have that will be waking up to whatever is on their phones (podcasts and streaming severances) instead of Larry, Sally, And Putz In The Morning and their seemly non-stop onslaught of commercial spots?
That little Yamaha isn't a good sign for broadcast radio.
