In my opinion, this Seiko Black Monster Second Generation is the best watch for the money. I do however don't like the way the pins can fall out of the bracelet (as many complain) and recommend a $75 Strapcode 20mm Super Engineer II brushed bracelet upgrade. For under $300 total, you've got a watch that looks at least twice the price. Curiously, today on Amazon the price says $192 and then you click on the image and it goes up to $198.

That's a lot of watch for $192. If I didn't have the older version, or if it came in an all-black version, I'd be very tempted.

I've got the Super Engineer on the OSD today. My first thought was, "Wow, no need to get the Boschett." The OSD looks significantly different. It feels like it's "mine" now.

I also like that the upgrade bracelet doesn't taper to such a narrow width.

It's too bad Seiko still uses the pin and collar method for attaching bracelet links on most of their watches. Using screws would be a better idea, and one that is used by many other brands.

Hopefully I'll get some pics in a couple of days. Right now I've got my daughter's flu.
