Not very good reviews at Amazon.
Call me old fashioned but I like real knobs for tuning and volume.

I wasn't so thrilled with the sound. At one point they revamped the model with different speakers, but I haven't heard one.
I'd say the price is about right for what it is.
It's not a $100 radio for sure, but for $30? I think I'd still pass.
Though it doesn't record (and it's mono through the speaker)I think the Meloson is a much better all around. Ok, so it dosen't do SW, but the G2 doesn't have a BFO for SSB, so no real loss there. To me a shortwave radio with no BFO is like an old TV with no UHF.
