Everything is pointing to the CC2E being the legend-of-the-era radio; as such, I'd like to see comparisons to the RF-2200, the SRII, etc. If Jay Allen says it's on par with the best in his collection, that's a rather bold statement..
I just purchased two books on Malcolm X, as prospective texts for my English 1A class, and I was surprised to see that I received a "settlement credit" that made the net total a little over $2.
When I opened my Benarus Moray 44mm last Friday, I saw, to my dismay, that it was the Arabic numeral version, not the Dart (shown above). I must have clicked on the wrong one during my purchase. I explained my mistake to Benarus and they are holding the black Dart 44mm for me.
I do have to pay for return shipping but that is fine by me.
I'm missing my Seiko Sumo, which I've sold twice, and growing bored with my Orient Saturation Diver. I thought of wearing my OSD to work tomorrow and I put it on, set it, wound it, and was feeling blah or rather like I was bored with it in spite of its amazing build quality.
A few days ago, I held it to my Citizen Grand Touring and I preferred the domed sapphire of the CGT as opposed to the rather flat sapphire on the OSD.
Now I'm wondering if I should sell what was once a Grail.
My guess is I'll fall in love with it again. These things go in cycles, as I've learned with the Sumo.
I loved the look of my Seiko Tuna on the soft rubber strap. It is one of the most comfortable straps I've worn, but steel bracelets are more comfortable for me.
Rubber tends to get hot and in some cases result in a slight itch, especially in warm weather. So I "suffer" wearing my bracelets. More First World Problems, as Jonny likes to joke about as watch obsessives try to navigate their watch "problems."
Amazon is selling the Orient M-Force black dial at the cheapest price I've seen. I love the watch, hate the bracelet. Upgrade with a Super Engineer II for another $75. It's worth it. Photo shows above shows the stock bracelet (feels hollow).
