When I opened my Benarus Moray 44mm last Friday, I saw, to my dismay, that it was the Arabic numeral version, not the Dart (shown above). I must have clicked on the wrong one during my purchase. I explained my mistake to Benarus and they are holding the black Dart 44mm for me.
I do have to pay for return shipping but that is fine by me.
Thank you, Benarus.
They would have been stupid not to be understanding. Especially if you're a relatively small company (I think Benarus is a large micro brand, but still micro), you need every customer to be happy, if at all possible.
Anyhow, I'm glad this will work out for you. The Arabic is really nice but the Dart is just striking. I've become a big fan of sharp or tooth-like indices, like my Oris Divers Date (the Aquis, by the way, doesn't have the sharp indices).

Both versions are really nice. If pressed to pick, I'd go with the Dart.

Yeah, I'm not totally in love with the indices on the Aquis. I may reconsider that one.

Jeff, compare the indices on these two:

The first is the Aquis, while the second is the older version with the same "tooth-like" indices that my Divers Date has. I like the Aquis, but the earlier version screams "iconic Oris" to me.

Yeah, indices are a huge part of the appeal. The first is better. Also, the Sumo has very compelling circle indices.

I actually like the second (or older model) better, with the tooth-like indices. It seems more uniquely Oris.
Yeah, the Sumo's biggest appeal, in my opinion, are the big circle indices, especially as they contrast with the dark dial. Also, the shape and finish of the case, and the beautiful hands, which grew on my over time.
Part of me would like to own a Seiko diver of each tier: a Black Monster, a Sumo, a Tuna, a MarineMaster 300m, and a MarineMaster 600m. At the least I'd like to get that 300m, because I think its one of those watches that's subtly of fit and finish is just astonishing.

Not to be confused with Benarus. This one is pricey.
