The Tuna stands out. I couldn't pare down to three watches---particularly if all three were stainless with metal bracelets. I have the need for wild variety----leather bands, rubber, stainless steel, gold plated, duo-tone, different case materials, etc. There's no continuity or clarity to my watches----if someone viewed all of them lined up on a table, they would be certain that the watches belonged to at least half a dozen different people.

I'd love to see a picture of your collection, Angelo, or did you send one to Jeff at one point? I vaguely remember seeing something.

Jeff, that's a great trinity - love them all. I'm curious how the Benarus will fit in; I wonder if it will complete with the CGT for wrist time.

You should definitely keep at least one casual/beater watch - maybe the SKA427 and BM?

Jeff, I also think you should put the OSD or Tuna on a strap - give your collection a tad more variety, and I know you liked the Tuna on a strap. The OSD looks great on one too (yours came with one, right?) and is also very easy to change.

Even if Raffi or Sean or Matt at Watch City teach me how to switch the straps, I fear I will scratch the bracelets during the process, so while I'd love to switch around, I find the task a tad risky.

Jonny: I did send Jeff a couple photos of my collection as it stood back then----and he ran them here. When I can, I'll line up the watches again and take a couple more photos that I can send to you. Is there a way to contact you through the Disciples of Chronos site? By the way, speaking of your blog----that Omega with the electric blue face is a stunner. That's one that I could aspire to---because I like Omega as a brand and also, the color is one of the nicest blues I've seen for a watch. I wonder if it would "age well" over the years, or become too much of a novelty----the color?

jonnybardo

The color is a major part of the appeal for me - while I love the classic black and classy silver or grey, blue dials are my favorite. From everything I've read, the blue on that Seamaster is even more vivid in the metal...but I'll find out shortly enough.

I don't know if I can be reached through my site - I get emails when someone posts, but I don't think I have my actual email up. Its jonnybardo at yahoo dot com

I agree with Angelo, if you're going to have 3 watches don't have 2 which are so similar. Instead of the OSD, keep a chrono or kinetic. I have 2 watches and wouldn't kind a third on a nice brown leather band. Something akin to the CGT above. I have a Seiko SKX007 and Casio GD-100. Both for different occasions and both equally robust!

jonnybardo

I don't know, those three watches are only similar in that all three are large, divers (or at least "diver-ish" - I don't think the CGT is a diver?), and have black dials with steel cases and bracelets. Somewhat similar, but rather different aesthetically.

Its Jeff's collection, but as I said, if I were him I'd differentiate the Tuna and OSD more by putting one on a strap. The OSD has a great, soft rubber strap which I think Jeff would like. I'm not sure about the Tuna's, but if its the same as the Sumo's strap then its mediocre.

herculodge

The strap on the Tuna is great but I love it on the bracelet too. Maybe I should try the OSD on the strap.
