I spent $80 on a Kicker iK501 for iPod and it arrived without the power supply. I read the back and I need a DC 22V but it appears a lot of these power supplies are for laptops.
I'd rather find what I need for $10 or so and not pay for return shipping. The seller should have either stated, which he didn't, that there was no power supply or he forgot to pack it or the cord is in some "secret" compartment that I don't see in the Kicker.
Can anyone recommend the appropriate power supply for this device?
I've emailed the seller to ask for one but haven't heard from him yet.
This looks like it will work. On eBay for 4 bucks.

Thanks, Doug. If my local store doesn't have it today, I may get the one on your link. Jeff

Jeff: Simply out of principle, I would dispute this if the seller doesn't respond to you. That's a really careless omission at best and fraud at worst. If you can solve the problem for $4.00, that's great. But the person who sold it still should be held accountable in my opinion.

That eBay item is an AC cord, not a power supply. A 22 volt 1 amp power supply goes for more than 10 bucks. But if the kicker accepts a direct 120 volt AC cord for power, go with it. Those cords are in your local electronics store.

That eBay listing says, "Pair With Kicker 08IZK500PS (AC Power Supply Adapter) for Full AC Power Replacement."

So I have buy both, including this?

I looked at the Amazon link, it shows the back of the unit. No port for AC in. Looks like you will have to find a DC power supply for the unit.
Did you buy this from Amazon or eBay?
If from Amazon, you should be able to return it at no expense, and if you bought it on eBay then I'd complain and ask for my money back or the PS sent to me if it was an oversight.
