I'm loving this gunmetal black Seiko Starfish SKZ285 with a 47mm bezel. If I find one for the right price, I may pull the trigger. On a related note, I'm missing my Seiko SKZ267, which I sold a year ago.

Sounds like you're building up to a purchase in the not-too distant future. I recognize the warning signs from my own experience.
Anyhow, the SKZ267 is a fun, very scifi watch. I held off on selling mine for quite some time, but just never wore it.

I wore mine because I like to wear black watches (I currently own none). I especially like wearing black watches with red shirts.
