I only wear my EcoZilla in the water. Here's an article that Gary sent us from A Blog to Watch about the do's and don'ts and wearing your mechanical watch.

On Tom's suggestion/advice right here on Herculodge, I bought a Casio G-Shock. And that's my go-to watch for swimming or knocking around. I cleared my weekend property of downed branches yesterday wearing that watch. On a recent vacation, that was the watch used to go in hotel swimming pools, with their outrageous concentrations of chlorine. Washing the car? G-Shock. I have other watches that are up to these tasks, but why would I want to subject them to impact/water/dirt when I have a watch that's cut out for those tasks and dings will only make it look better, more rugged? Look, if I had an $80,000 Range Rover, I'm sure it would do just fine in the snow. But if I also had a Jeep in the garage----and needed to run out for groceries in a foot of snow---salt/sand on the roads---risk of a collision with someone stupid enough to be driving their Miata to the supermarket during the same storm---I'd pick the Jeep for that trip over my beautiful new Range Rover. It's not that the Range Rover couldn't do it, but why would I want it too? Ditto, some of my nicer, more expensive watches vs. my G-Shock.
